Spacious but dirty
Pros

Cons

Advice to the owners
Clean the building regularly
Moved out after a year — with a sense of urgency.
Pros
The gentleman who does the maintenance around the building is a great guy (not the super), he does an excellent job at maintaining the building and grounds. The building has good water pressure.
Cons
Firstly, good luck getting ahold of the company that owns the building, you’ll get an audience with the Pope sooner. Second, the people here treat each other terribly. I had the neighbors above and below me blasting music regularly. I tried to talk to them respectfully, that led no where. When I tried to contact management about the issue they just stopped responding to my phone calls and emails. Beyond the neighbors you have the lovely folks of East Flatbush honking, screaming, begging, and blasting music all day every day. I seldom felt comfortable having my window open. I took to noise proofing the apartment with curtains and rugs. When we moved in, there were roaches, although we corrected that with diligent caulking and poisoning. Our neighbors didn’t, so we’d still see their stragglers. They run the heat like crazy. You’ll never be cold, but you’ll never be comfortable. The area leaves a lot to be desired. Unless filth, homelessness, trash, and emotional/verbal abuse is desired. You can’t leave your house without being accosted by the homeless, or being scowled at by strangers.
Advice to the owners
Respond to your emails. Consider double/triple pane windows.
