Least problematic building I’ve lived in
Pros
Almost brand new, almost no pests whatsoever, good finishes, sizable apartments, close to M, J and L trains, nice rooftop
Cons
No elevator, stairs occasionally left messy by neighbors, right on the train tracks
2 Great Years
Pros
- Great roof with a grill and plenty of seating, two wooden swing sets, tables to eat at, and tanning chairs. Plants growing and a nice fountain - Great gym facility, pulley machine, wrights, medicine balls, mats, elliptical, stationary bike and two treadmills. Not super spacious but only ever had one maybe two other people in at once and often had it to myself - Building management is pretty responsive. Sometimes have had to follow up to get resolution but we got there! - Small but very functional balcony off of one bedroom in our unit - No problems with AC/heat ever - No pest issues: had a couple of weeks where there were a few flies but otherwise went entirely without seeing any pests - Stairway and common spaces cleaned on a weekly basis, always sparkling - Few appliance issues we’ve had were always quickly addressed and resolved
Cons
- Super only SOMETIMES enforces a strange “5 guests per tenant on the roof at a time” rule.. other times, tenants are free to have whoever they want over - In the winter months (even on a warm evening) the roof’s lights will not come on at night and instead a night camera will record you after sunset - Building sometimes “shakes” very slightly when the train goes by - Packages left downstairs in the mail area for longer than 1 day have been commonly stolen - No assistance or forgiveness offered in response to Covid
Advice to the owners
Regularly review videos taken of the mail area to ensure packages have not been stolen.
