Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant feedback for buildings managed by David Tennenbaum reveals mixed experiences focused largely in Brooklyn. Positives include convenient locations, spacious apartments in some buildings, and occasional responsiveness from management and supers. Rent stabilization exists in several properties, offering affordability. However, many tenants report serious issues including poor cleanliness, ineffective garbage management, pest infestations, noise disturbances, and security concerns with unauthorized access. Management is frequently described as unresponsive or difficult to contact, with slow or inadequate repairs. Safety and maintenance deficits, including heating problems, drug activity, and neglected common areas, are common complaints. Overall, management appears inconsistent, with a pressing need for improved communication, maintenance, and tenant relations.

Anh Test Cozy Williamsburg Living with a Cool Vibe

Pros

This spot is right in the heart of Williamsburg, so you’re surrounded by trendy cafes, restaurants, and bars. The apartment has a cozy, modern feel with nice finishes and plenty of natural light. Plus, public transportation is super close, making it easy to get to Manhattan.

Cons

The building is on the smaller side and doesn’t have many amenities like a gym or rooftop. Noise from the street can sometimes be noticeable, especially on weekends. Also, rent is a bit high for the space you get, but that’s pretty standard for the area.

Pros

Rent stabilized Somewhat updated

Cons

Unit is comically small Management does not care about any safety concerns - some neighbors give constant open access to people that do not live in the building Often people smoking, doing other things, staying overnight in the stairwell Some roach problems No trash management Super did not fix lack of heat in the living room for 3+ months
