One of the worst buildings in New York
Pros
Nothing good to say about this place
Cons
This is a street corner building, it's other address is 310 E 25th Street. Brooklyn, NY. 11226 The management of this property (310 LLC) is the worst people you'd ever have the misfortune of dealing with. i currently live in this building and right now i constantly have feces, urine and chemical leaking into my apt, for 3yrs now. They have an open cesspool that stores feces and urine right on the other side of my bedroom wall. when it fills up and clog, my toilet start to spit out disgusting waste. And they continue to charge $3250 monthly for such. So I'm stuck in an apt with a cellar below curb, while inhaling these things, not to talk a the dead cat that's also being left there for 3yrs and they wouldn't pick it up, all these are in the hallway inside the building, right next to my bedroom. above the wall where the cesspit is, is a colony of roaches. These people don't care about the health and well-being of their tenant, they only want your money, while you get sickness in return. If you can avoid these guys, avoid them like the plague. lawsuit awaits. Update. : finally had my day in court with these slumlords, moment they saw my lawyer, they gave up. ofcourse part of the agreement was for me to not pay the $34k i withheld from them, 2 months free rent, then move. i just moved out, guess what, they refused to return my security deposit. Stay away from these low lives, nothing good will come out of it. should have sued them for $500k, just took pity on them, even though they don't deserve it. These are heartless individuals.
Advice to the owners
Be responsible, you have an obligation to the people you are taking money from.
Extreme Water Hammer
Pros
We loved the apartment itself. Cute. Good for roommates. Layout made sense. Was cheap.
Cons
Figured out why it was cheap… main issue being in the winter time the water hammer in this building is unlike anything ever experienced. It would shake the walls all night long and feel like someone was in the room banging on pipes with a hammer. After a few winters of being promised it was fixed, the same would happen over again. Had to get into a long battle with management to get out of the lease. Also had a few mouse/roach problems. A rotating cast of homeless living in the hallway and on the roof. Was an interesting experience. *I would like to add that I have before and since lived in older apartments where radiators make a good bit of noise and this situation is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone.
Advice to the owners
Fix the building.
